We adopted Dinger on October 8th, 2004. My life has been so much better ever since. I really wanted a Beagle that was a rescue and I looked around a lot until I saw those sad eyes and knew I had found the dog for me. Dinger is the greatest dog in the world and probably the happiest. When we first got him home I thought that he would sleep in the crate that I had bought him, Dinger thought he would sleep in our bed under the covers and now I can't imagine sleeping without him! Luckily he is more than willing to sleep until noon on weekends before he pokes his head out from under the blankets and does his morning stretching routine. He loves to go for long hikes and to the dog park. I thought my heart would burst when I saw him swim for the first time a couple weeks ago. He also loves chewing on sticks and eating everything in sight.
He hardly ever barks and he loves to meet new people and new dogs. He is just so friendly, I can't wait to bring home a brother or sister for him since our cat refuses to be his playmate. I love him to death. Thank you Hound Rescue for giving him to me!
